Warranty Policy

Limited Paddle Warranty

Coverage, exclusions, claim requirements, and inspection procedures.

Warranty Eligibility

To qualify for warranty coverage:

  • The claimant must be the original purchaser.

  • The paddle must have been purchased new directly from Flight or an authorized Flight retailer.

  • Valid proof of purchase, such as the original receipt or order confirmation, must be provided.

  • The claim must be submitted within the applicable warranty period.

  • The paddle must not be excluded from coverage under the terms below.

Warranty coverage is non-transferable. Product registration is not required for warranty eligibility.

Warranty Periods

One-Year Limited Core Warranty

The paddle core is covered for one year from the original delivery date against qualifying manufacturing defects, including:

  • Core separation or delamination.
  • Structural core failure under normal use.
  • Abnormal deformation caused by a manufacturing defect.

Six-Month Limited Non-Core Warranty

Non-core paddle components are covered for six months from the original delivery date against qualifying defects in materials or workmanship.

A loose edge guard that separates from the paddle face during normal use may qualify for warranty evaluation.

Replacement-Paddle Coverage

A replacement paddle inherits the remaining warranty period of the original paddle. Receiving a replacement does not restart or extend the original warranty period.

Core Wear and Performance Changes

Pickleball paddles naturally change with use. Normal core softening, reduced power, and changes in responsiveness over time are considered normal wear and tear and are not automatically considered manufacturing defects.

A paddle feeling or playing differently than it did when new does not, by itself, establish a warranty claim. Warranty replacements are issued only when Flight confirms a qualifying manufacturing defect.

Edge Guard and Cosmetic Wear

The following are considered cosmetic or normal play wear and are not covered:

  • Edge-guard paint chipping or scraping.
  • Cosmetic scratches, scuffs, or surface marks.
  • Graphic fading or cosmetic deterioration.
  • Damage caused by contact with the court, ground, another paddle, or another object.

An edge guard that becomes loose or separates from the paddle face during normal use may be submitted for warranty evaluation.

Weighting Systems and Modifications

Damage caused by unauthorized modifications, repairs, alterations, or weighting systems is not covered.

This includes damage resulting from:

  • Drilling, sanding, cutting, or reshaping the paddle.
  • Attempted repairs not authorized by Flight.
  • Reshaping or altering the edge guard.
  • Lead, tungsten, clamp-on weights, or third-party weighting systems applied in a manner that damages or compromises the paddleโ€™s structural integrity.

The use of an accessory does not automatically void the warranty. The exclusion applies when the modification or accessory caused or contributed to the claimed damage.

What Is Not Covered

This Limited Warranty does not cover:

  • Normal wear and tear.
  • Normal core softening or performance changes.
  • Grit wear.
  • Grip wear.
  • Cosmetic scratches, fading, scuffs, or paint chips.
  • Damage caused by striking the ground, court, another paddle, or another object.
  • Accidental damage, misuse, abuse, or negligence.
  • Damage caused by unauthorized repairs or modifications.
  • Damage caused by unauthorized or improperly installed weighting systems.
  • Commercial or rental-use paddles.
  • Demo paddles.
  • Blemished or second-grade paddles.
  • Products purchased from unauthorized sellers.
  • Claims submitted by anyone other than the original purchaser.
  • Claims submitted after the applicable warranty period has expired.

Only confirmed manufacturing defects occurring under normal use qualify for warranty coverage.

How to Submit a Warranty Claim

Email info@flightpb.com and provide:

  • Your first and last name.
  • The email address used for the purchase.
  • Your order number or proof of purchase.
  • The paddle model.
  • The paddle serial number.
  • A detailed description of the issue.
  • Clear photographs and, when appropriate, a video showing the issue.

Please include photographs showing:

  • The entire front of the paddle.
  • The entire back of the paddle.
  • The right side of the edge guard.
  • The left side of the edge guard.
  • The top of the edge guard.
  • Close-up views of the affected area.

For concerns involving a hollow or weak feeling, suspected core separation, abnormal deflection, or an unusual sound, please also provide a clear video.

The video should show firm pressure being applied to different areas of the paddle face so that any movement, separation, clicking, popping, or cracking can be evaluated.

Please do not ship a paddle to Flight before receiving authorization and return instructions.

Warranty Review and Inspection

Flight will first review the customerโ€™s proof of purchase, serial number, description, photographs, and video.

If the submitted evidence conclusively confirms a qualifying manufacturing defect, Flight may approve the warranty claim without requiring the paddle to be returned.

If Flight cannot conclusively confirm the warranty issue through photographs and video, the customer must send the paddle to Flight for a physical inspection.

A final warranty decision will not be made, and a replacement will not be issued, until the paddle has been received and inspected.

When a physical inspection is required, Flight will provide:

  • A Warranty Claim Form.
  • A prepaid shipping label to send the paddle to Flight.
  • Return and packaging instructions.

Authorization to send a paddle for inspection does not mean the warranty claim has been approved. Final eligibility will be determined after the physical inspection.

If the inspection determines that the paddle has a qualifying manufacturing defect, Flight will process the approved warranty replacement.

If the inspection determines that the paddle does not have a qualifying manufacturing defect, the customer will be responsible for the shipping cost required to send the paddle back to them. The paddle will be returned after the applicable shipping charge has been paid.

Returning a Paddle for Inspection

If Flight requires the paddle to be returned:

  • Complete the Warranty Claim Form and place it inside the package.
  • Securely package the paddle to prevent shipping damage.
  • Include all originally provided accessories.
  • Attach the prepaid shipping label provided by Flight.
  • Ship the package using the carrier identified on the label.

All paddle warranty returns must include the original paddle cover.

Paddles supplied with removable performance weights must also include:

  • The original performance weights.
  • The original grip.

Warranty returns received without the completed Warranty Claim Form cannot be processed until the required information is received.

The paddle must be shipped within three business days of receiving the shipping label and instructions. Flight reserves the right to cancel the return authorization if the paddle is not shipped within this period.

The prepaid label covers shipment of the paddle to Flight for inspection. If the paddle does not qualify for warranty coverage after inspection, the customer is responsible for paying the shipping cost to have the paddle returned to them.

Warranty Determination

Flight reserves the right to inspect and evaluate every claim and determine whether the reported issue qualifies as a manufacturing defect.

If the cause of the issue cannot be determined through the submitted photographs and video, Flight will require the paddle to be returned for physical inspection before making a final decision.

If the claim is approved, Flight will issue a replacement paddle.

If the claim is not approved:

  • Flight will explain why the issue does not qualify under this Limited Warranty.
  • The customer will be responsible for paying the outbound shipping cost to have the inspected paddle returned.
  • Flight will provide payment instructions for the applicable shipping charge.
  • The paddle will be shipped back after the shipping charge has been paid.

Approved Claims

If Flight confirms a qualifying manufacturing defect through photographs and video, or through a physical inspection when required, a replacement paddle will be issued.

When the original paddle must be physically inspected, the replacement will not be shipped until the returned paddle has been received, inspected, and approved.

The replacement paddle will inherit the remaining warranty coverage of the original paddle. Its warranty period will not restart.

  • Normal wear and tear.

  • Grit wear.
  • Grip wear.
